I went up to Syracuse University and hung out with Rob Brown & Omar Benson Miller, stars of 'The Express', the story of Heisman Trophy winner Ernie Davis. The film opens on October 10th, and also stars Dennis Quaid. They let us run around the field and throw the pigskin around as we talked about the film. My job doesn't suck....

If you're not familiar with Gael Garcia Bernal, then I guess you haven't seen films like Babel, The Science of Sleep, and the upcoming 'Blindness'. So in the words of Mr. Sparks, "Get Familiar!".Labels: festivals, interviews, movies

Shout out to Brandon Soo Hoo. Thanks for stopping by the set of 'The Daily 10' last week lil' homey! For those of you who don't know Brandon, he plays Tran, the evil dictator who goes after Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Jack Black in Paramount's 'Trpoic Thunder'. He's going to be a big star some day.
Turns out this is hands down, the funniest comedy of the summer. And little man isn't done. He's got a part in next summer's G.I. Joe playing a young Storm Shadow. Big things dude....11 year olds who rock wife beaters and diamond earrings are good in my book....Labels: movies, thedaily10onE

D.J. Caruso and Steven Spielberg just released the new trailer from EAGLE EYE. Shia, Anthony Mackie, Rosario Dawson, and even the homey Jerry Ferrara have one of the most anticipated thrillers of the year hitting theaters 4th quarter. I got to visit the set, so you know I had to lace The Boy Wonder with a Hard Rock Hotel, "Smashtime" mixtape from Clinton Sparks.Labels: movies

"Hey, are you free in the mornings to play golf? We gotta get out and play soon". That's what Mark Wahlberg said to me after our interview for 'The Happening'. I've interviewed Mark a few times over the years, and we just keep missing each other on the golf course. He's a busy guy after all. Not only has the promotion for this film taken him to Rome, Berlin, and now New York, but he has 3 movies on the way including LOVELY BONES with Peter Jackson, MAX PAYNE based on the popular video game, and either THE FIGHTER with Brad Pitt, or hopefully the feature version of the Sal Masekela produced documentary BRA BOYS.
The other John there was John Leguizamo who starred in the video I produced for Tony Touch many years back (check the link here, my mom did the catering), and the lovely and talented Zoey DeChanel starred in SURF's UP with Sal, so it all comes full circle.
Last but not least was M. Night Shymalan who couldn't have been nicer and more genuine. As you can see from the picture, he has something mystical about him because his photo didn't come out, while the others did. I guess there really is a dark side to the disturbing director after all....Labels: awareness, environment, golf, movies, thedaily10onE, thelyonsdenonE

Well, it's official. Sex is #1. The fabulous foursome from New York did it BIG at the box office this weekend. Like, "Mr. Big", Big, that's how Big a weekend it was for New Line/WB as the chick flick topped Indiana Jones in its second weekend to come in at the top with over $55million. Wow, congrats ladies...
Since one of my jobs is working at The E! Network, we did a lot of coverage on the movie, including the premiere at Radio City Music Hall in New York at the stateside premiere. Check out these interviews and photos from my trusty producer Gerry Johnston's cell phone cam.Labels: movies

Check out these flicks from Tropic Thunder the folks at Paramount just sent me. Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr are having historic summers with Iron Man, Kung Fu Panda, and now this absolutely absurd comedy that will most likely be the biggest laugher of the year.Labels: movies
Shout out to Helen from this UK site FemaleFirst. They apparently have it cracking overseas, which worked out great for me to promote the summer preview show I did for E!'s international markets. Mongolia, Ireland, The UK, France...you name it, we are doing it big across seas. Like David Hasselhoff meets Kanye West meets Will Smith big.Labels: interviews, movies

Ed Norton stars as Bruce Banner, alongside Liv Tyler and Tim Roth. Hopefully if the poster is any indication, this will be a big improvement on the last one. BLLabels: movies
